Early Tudor Gabled Hood

Early Tudor Gabled Hood

This hat would easily go with your early Tudor style gown or Medieval gown. This gown develops into the Gabled Hood later. It is a rather sombre style and looks wonderful with a long sleeved gown with dropped waist. You simply must wear a girtle with this hat. This period is often overlooked my costumers and is a truly elegant and wearable era.

Tudor Bonnet

This Renaissance hat is taken from early portraits of Jane Grey. The bonnet style hat has elements of a Tudor Gabled hood but is more of a backwards bonnet shape. I think this hat is far more cool and comfortable with an Early Tudor gown. The hat simply rests on your head and is very light. I have included hat elastic to hod it secure under your chin, it is looped to hold the hat on the mannequin head.

The hat is constructed from proper millinery materials. The fabric is a heavy tapestry with burgundy, blue and tan colours. The interior is a tan shade with green and burgundy. The trim is gold and green braid with heavy green trim.
